I have been slowly working on honing my original 1988 purchased shopsmith to refine it and improve it's over all performance. Equipped with Nick's sawdust wisdom, a dial indicator and great enthusiasm I took on the task of aligning the miter slot to the blade. Then my nightmares came back. In the sp...

Welcome to the forum. The Bandsaw should have it's own manual. Sometimes the manuals don't get put into the binder with the Shopsmith Mark V manual. Shopsmith can supply you with a replacement manual for it for a fee (usual around 5-10 dollars). The Bandsaw has two (2) tubes that go into the bottom ...

Did the V-Book have more material on it than was in the 1st Saw Dust session?

I've been considering purchasing these as well, but have not yet made the commitment.

The other DVD's that Nick and SS produced are great.

Are we ever happy. Just picked up my second SS today and brushed it off and waxed. The guy I purchased it from waxed it last night sat down with me for 2 hours and told me all about it. Intersetingly, he has 2 shops on here in New York and one in AZ. He has made his NY shop smaller and only uses the...
