Hi Tim,

Thank you for the complements. It took longer than I thought it would to make them. Had to run out to the hardware store to pick up the jam nut and 1/4-20 threaded rod.

It has been interesting so far. I'm curious if anyone else has tried out Nick's modifications?

Thank you for looking. I figure it is going to be difficult to find a copy of the magazine.

SS OutFeed Modification

Today I made the two pieces that Nick showed off in the Saw dust session that allow the SS Outfeed Table to track with the main table. I have not yet tried them out, that will be for tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the two wood pieces necessary to do the conversions.

Old American Woodworker Artical

Does any one keep around old additions of American Woodworker that date back to the late 1980s early 1990s? I'm looking for the addition that has a regulator clock on the front cover. It contains an article on a wood tool chest that I'm interested in getting a copy off. This so happens to be the sam...

It is my humble opinion (MHO) that one of the main reasons for back orders is that the products that SS actually makes in house are made in runs. They might make runs of 6 or 12, what ever that number is, they are trying to make efficient use of resources, time, and material. In addition they desire...

Very nice and very impressive. Thank you for sharing all the pictures and great storage ideas. I'm in the process of trying to set up a new shop and also storage system. We moved into a new house, which is bigger, but I have less shop space and storage. I'm working on correcting both. Again very imp...

Ed, that is a good approach. It is difficult to know when SS will be able to fill the orders. I suspect that they wait until they have enough to make a profit and if possible sell everything that is either made or purchased.

Have you tried Billstoolz? He is a member of the Forum and from what I understand a collector of SS parts for all models. He buys and sells.

I'm thankful that we still have a SS to order from. I know the pains of the back orders. I have several outstanding back orders that are months old waiting for enough orders to come in to make it profitable for SS to fill them. I wish the best to SS and hope they will be able to develop a new demand...
