Re: Drill press issues

Has anyone had a problem with the Power Pro Headstock sliding down as they are moving the quill feed?

It seems like I have to tighten the Headstock lock abnormally more than I expected and event then I've had problems where the Power Pro Headstock will slide down on me.

Re: New Kreg adaptive cutting system

I own several of their tools. It started when my trusty skill saw was dropped from the roof to the concrete garage floor. It was time for a new one. I walked into the local tool store and he let me demo the Festool track saw, guide rail and Rotex on a MFT with the dust collector connected. I bought ...

Re: Pro Planer speed control box problem

Thank you for clearing up post 190056. When I read all the post I get the impression that there are 2 versions of the Speed Control. I have the one that looks like the one in pictures 25, 26, and 28 and then again in 29 and 30. Will the schematic that JPG posted in #200027 ok to use? Maybe the quest...

Re: Pro Planer speed control box problem

Nice updates to the Post. I just recently had my speed control fail. After reading this I will have to see if mine has the same or similar failure. Is DJ1960Gold schematic of the upgraded circuit or the "new version" of the control?

I know what you're talking about Ed. I've worked with several contractors over the years. The Plumbers around here like the HD RIDGID drills. They can just take them back and exchange them even the batters, there is a warranty on them. The roofers around here like the Ryobi line of tools like you sa...

It has been my experience, that when my SS cuts inaccurately it has been my own fault. I didn't do my 5 point check before making the cut and either the table, carriage, head stock, quill, or rip fence isn't properly locked. Yes, it is humbling, and embracing to admit it. Then there are also the occ...

Dusty,

I agree that the threads in the table are the weakest link.

"Anyway, decades ago when building race engines we would reinstall everything with a thread, every time that threaded piece was removed. A company called ARP had an interesting article regarding torquing and stretching the bolt (rod) which distorted the threads. I remember being amazed at just ...
