Care must be exercised when tightening the set screws. The rotating mt2 ring is soft and the set screws easily deform it.

Using a drill chuck and a long brad point drill bit should work for alignment. Just make sure to compensate for bit point wobble(if any).

The Mark VII wedge locks operate similarly to the current Mark V 5xx/7 vintage. Only difference from a Mark 5/ V 500 is the wing nut is replaced by the lever.
