I have a PSI Barracuda2, which is internally threaded for 1" x 8tpi .. and am REALLY frustrated using the PSI 1" x 8 tpi Shopsmith Spindle Adapter ( Item #: L5818) ... the amount of runout is really irritating ..

If I was never going to reverse-turn any object, the runout would not be a big deal ...

I was not aware of those postings on Ebay, some nice looking blanks there. Just out of curiosity, some of the spalted blanks say "some corkwood". What would you do if you got 1/2-way through turning a bowl and found a portion of the finished bowl would be corkwood, scrap it or what? The spalted ...
