I just ordered my double tilt from Lowe's, using my 10% veterans discount. Between Lowe's price & the discount, plus free shipping to Alaska I saved about $175! I too look real hard at the new (and it is new) HK 55. My reasons for getting the TS 55:

"Only" a $100 more.
It is NOT billed as a carpentry saw.
The saw blade that comes with it is NOT a fine tooth blade, a new fine tooth costs $78.

I went with the TS 55 & am very happy!

We did this last year - it has been quite illuminating! I've always been told that my dad's side was 100% Irish, and according to the DNA I have 7% Irish! Through ancestry work I've found a fair amount of Irish (certainly not 50%), but I believe the DNA goes way back not just the last 200-300 years....

I just did about a dozen zip code store selections and in all the cases the price was the same. WI, IL, MI, DE, IO, OH and a few others. Interesting. What I've found interesting is that Lowes is location specific as far as items available & price.
