Bob, that's the way I tried to do. It didn't come out right. I talked with one of my customers that runs a tool and die shop and he said he might be able to make me a drill bit with a 5/8" pilot. I'll still need to mount the blade the same way to use the bit. I'll know more when the bit is ready ...

My brother-in-law just got a sawsmith last summer and it had a belt sander on it. He is thinking of selling the sander and mount. Any interest?
