Re: Nail puller pliers that is new to me.

I'm a bit surprised at the negative feed back on this tool. I guess you are all way more skilled then I thought.

Anyway I'm doubling down and ordering another one, just put the order in and it should be arriving on March 10.

Re: Nail puller pliers that is new to me.

I shot a couple of pictures in case people are having trouble figuring out how this tool works. It uses the same principal as a standard hammer with the curved claw. use1.jpg use2.jpg use3.jpg I have a tool similar to the one shown above and here is a shot of the two of them to reflect the differenc...

Re: Sanding belts Keep Separating at Tape Joint

I have had that same thing happen to stash of belts I got on sale and in bulk. Frustrating! I found information re-gluing or taping them but had no luck with that. I did find that there is a 3M adhesive that commercial places use but you can not buy it. It also has to ship in a controlled environmen...

Nail puller pliers that is new to me.

I recently had some brad nail that decided to stay in the base piece and pull through the trim piece. Nailers use a nail that is much softer then the ones you put in with a hammer and if you are not careful they brake off rather then pull out. Also some are headless or almost headless so tools that ...

Microjig Fitfinder

On sale last month at woodcrafters plus I had free shipping.... I had planned on writing about it in case anyone has been wanting one and would like to have saved $5 but I didn't have the opportunity to try it out and didn't want to do a review without playing with it, so sorry about that. So when d...

Razor File

Unless you are really into tools you might not know about these. Like a file and like a rasp but different. And yes expensive. So when StewMac put them up at 15% off I ordered one. This is what they call the large: rasp1.jpg This is what the plane like teeth look like: rasp2.jpg Quite unlike anythin...

Today in the shop "CT26 Handle"

When setting in the shop a handle on a Festool CT26 or lack of one makes only a minor difference. In fact it might be more in the way then a helper. I how ever have a Ultimate Dust Deputy SD Cyclone Separator on top of mine. So most of the space above the CT is used up and adding a handle changes li...

Re: 2022 Federal Income Tax

I haven't e-filed yet, waiting to do a last check of all the numbers to make sure I entered them all correctly etc. It would appear that in the end things are about the same this time as the last couple of times. However this coming year has me worried. Investment income was down the last two years....

Re: OUCH Spring cost for Maytag dishwasher

My brother had a couple of good suggestions to add, auto parts stores and lawn mower repair places..... Anyway I had to do some modifications to the springs, got two different versions to try out. The first one was the right length but larger diameter and thicker material. Well, it fit but it but wa...
