Re: If you are interested in what looks like a good deal
I had a pretty small project for the 1/4 sheet sander and it may not be fair as it was so small a piece but then that is one reason I wanted one. I had just the bag on so no vacuum system. The sander did manage to pick up some of the sawdust but did not do well when the sander was over the edge of t...

Re: Making a Dovetailed Adventure Chest with Shaper Origin
I personally don't like dovetail joint for things like this but that is just me. I have several jigs for this and have at one time developed the skill to hand cut them. But I lost interest in them maybe 30 years ago and have not done any since. While it is quite possible this type box needs a doveta...

I've only watched about 8 minutes of it at this point and I'm liking it. Got some other stuff to take care of and will watch the rest later today.

Re: Vetting Shopsmith.com Membership
We can ban anyone anytime. A couple of weeks back I allowed a user/post and later the person added a spam link. They are no longer with us and post deleted just like that. I like to give the benefit of the doubt until they actually do something wrong, then just use our superpowers to do away with th...

Re: If you are interested in what looks like a good deal
What ever backlog Dewalt had it seems to be flowing, at least for the things I have wanted. I went a head and got the 1/4 sheet sander (DCW200B), not that bad a deal at $95 and it arrived on Sunday. Had to try the paper punch but not done any actual sanding yet but I think today's weather will chang...

Re: If you are interested in what looks like a good deal
One of my Rockler vacuum ends does fit the sander. It then gives me at least a way of connecting to it and my shop vac. The Rockler hose end fits the shop vac but not the dust deputy set up on the festool. So I'll now start looking up how to do that connection????? I would prefer to use the Festool ...

Re: New Nova 3G chuck from SS
This is what my organized chuck and jaw drawer looks like. I will not show the other drawers but once you get into turning it is a space eater. Yes I have a need to do some revisions on my other drawers and the lathe area should be first on the list to be done but never the right time to do it, yet....

Re: If you are interested in what looks like a good deal
If you watch some of the videos you see the hose screwing in so I have to think that is what you see inside. Again lack of details only leads to speculations, and that is not a good way to do business.

Re: New Nova 3G chuck from SS
If you are serious about getting one of these Nova chucks I'd step up to the next model. It is rare I even use my G3 since I got the Super Nova 2. The capacity is the same but the chuck body is larger and the whole chuck feels nicer. You also get the Allen type tightener that is better then the dril...

Re: New Nova 3G chuck from SS
It appears the chuck does come with the normal insert set up as seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Nova-Premier-Woodworm-accessories-Shopsmith/dp/B08M95JPCK/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=nova+48290&qid=1618013974&sr=8-2#productDetails Not seeing any advantage to shopping shopsmith for this...
