Could be one of 2 things - the nut that holds the outfeed table could be too tight. The second one is a longshot but - on the newer joiners there is a tab that drops down to prevent the operator from unknowingly taking too deep of cut. This seems silly but I have had it happen. I don't have a newer ...

240 Volt Headstock

I have lost track of the number of Shopsmiths I have had over the years - this is a first for me though. I bought a Shopsmith set up today that, firstly, had never been run. Has anyone done comprehensive schematic on the wiring for this? I am going to make a stab at this but just don't follow the wiring very well.

Thank you in advance

Grandpa - maybe you could read the last sentence of my post again. That is the logic I think would work best. Back when I had a "real" job I managed parts warehouses for a major car company of Japanese origin. My buildings shipped about 1 million dollars a day in volume. We made nothing bu...

My own Post Office Story

I would like to relate my recent Post Office story. See if this makes good business sense to you. I ship 30 to 40 packages a week through the PO. I generate the shipping labels on line and simply drop them off to the Post Office nearest my house. One of my packages was returned a couple of days ago ...

Thank you very much. I am amazed - the last time I inquired about this part Jan told me that it was not available as a component. She said I would have to buy the $100 assembly.

Thank you very much for the great news.
