I am still at the early planning stages so any suggestions would be great. I will get pics up once I hav...

Thanks for the advice and I just tried to run it back down to slow it stopped and felt like it was binding somewhere. I did not want to force it down any further for fear of breaking something. The best way to describe it is the speed control handle only turned about 1 full revolution (toward slow) ...

Is the drive belt worn?
Hello, I spent a good half in hour scratching my head and staring at my old 1955 "greenie" last night. I had taken the speed control apart and when I tried to put the belt back on to the floating sheave after reassembling the speed control the belt was incredibly loose. I did not notice wh...

Thank you for your advice on this one. I ended up doing a bit of a make shift piece to fit into the space. I cut a washer to fill in the broken part and attached it a full size washer on the back side for support. Seems to do the job but I fear it is no permanent solution. Thanks again for the input...

Thanks for the advice. I had adjusted the screw set and that did not solve the problem the Control Sheave kept slipping out towards the speed control assembly. I eventually fixed it by adjusting the speed control assembly before pulling the belt back over the lower stationary sheave. the extra press...

Speed Control Reassemby???
Hello,
I am in the process of a refurbish on an old machine I came across. When I attempt to replace the speed control bracket it is hitting the control sleave. Is there an adjustment I can make so they do not touch?
