is there a way to check the actual draw on an extension cord---as my wife will attest i know just enough about electricity to be dangerous --thanks

bought this one from Rockler---love it but have always wondered if it was adequate for the SS what is your opinion

i bought the Amana 6" from SS very happy flat bottoms very easy to get the exact width needed

we lost a large Norfork pine due to the freeze here in houston--my brother in law is very good in turnings I saved some short pieces (4-6 inches 2-3 feet long) but i can't get them to him for a couple of months---do i need to wax the the ends (with what?) would plastic wrap work?---any thoughts thanks

i would love to leave it natural---is there any reason to put anything on redwood--- other than looks

i made a planting bench for my wife--it will be outside in a shaded area (Houston Texas)--it's made with clear redwood---what recommendations do you have for a finish--it will be subject to abuse--dirt -water-etc.--Do i use linseed oil or some other type of oil---i like the color when redwood turns ...

there is an I-phone app. from bear creek lumber that i dowloaded free--you enter width--thickness--length--number of pieces---price/mbf

and it does the calculation---don'y know if it's available other than for I-phone
