The router plus the weight of the lift will cause your table to sag over time.

In my opinion unless you can somehow reinforce it.

To cut the slots I would use a plunge router if you have one, along with a straight edge guide.

That's pretty good advice Robinson. Thank you. I prefer after texting and emails to speak on the phone to see how they talk to me, if they seem like a decent person then determine where to setup a meeting either my shop or a public parking lot.
