Bandsawn Box

I made this little bandsawn box that I got the idea from youtube. I'm going to line the inside with felt (which I'm going to buy in a little while) and that's why the inside and back of the little drawers looks so rough still. I still have to touch up th...

I made a couple of these for Christmas gifts last year. I only used the jigsaw to make a template to use at the router table, but it's a great tool for this kind of work. I got kinda lucky last year and scored a bunch of SS jigsaw blades online, but I understand that you can a...

New Pen Set

I received some really nice spalted cedar (which I've never seen before) from Brick1 recently (thank you again Bill :) ) and turned a pen set with it. I really enjoy turning pens. Just two hours and done. I'm out of CA glue so I just finished these with four coats of Shellawax...

Sure :D Here's a pic of an open box and the lid. I didn't finish the inside yet because I'm deciding how. I think I want to apply flocking or maybe a satin liner or something like that. You are right sir. I cut the corners off the boxes first and cut the...

Hi Underdog, Here are some pics to show what I meant by spacer block and to show how I use the gauge to set a cut up too. I'm sorry that I wasn't clear with my earlier post. To measure for my cut I'll have the spacer set up by the blade so I can measure to it. 12598[/A...

I considered that hehehe. It would have been a lot more complicated but I wanted to try. I decided to just keep it simple.

Some Completed Projects

I've been having some fun in the garage lately and finished some things. The other day I was out and when I got home I found that Brick1 (Bill) :) brought me a gift. The color and spalting on this piece of ar...

How I made the fluted knob

Algale asked how I did the knob for this table saw gauge: You can see that it started as a laminated block of wood, alternating oak and walnut. All I did was drill through the block in a circle pattern to get the flutes, then I cut the circle with a hole saw. By plan I should ...
