Re: A new adventure begins !

Welcome to Nevada. I live in Henderson, NV which is 1" from Las Vegas. Henderson is the SW end of the valley. My shop is my garage and it is not air conditioned. Therefore, during the summer months I do no woodworking. This past June had 28 days over 100 and so far July has been all over 100. T...

Re: Are you a powerpro owner?

Purchased my PP headstock only on 1/7/2012. No problems at all. I do have concerns about storing it here in hot and dry Southern Nevada. My garage/workshop is not air conditioned so I don't use it during the summer months. This past June we had 27 days over 100 and so far July has been all 100's+. M...

I have been using the method shown in my jointer owners manual from 1979. Item no. 505681 Article no. 84-3449. Page 9 - fig. 32 shows the method you have been discussing. Figure 33 shows another method using the same design of blade holder. I have been using the second method with a little modificat...

Thanks for all the good info guys. This is great stuff. I have already made several of the modifications you have shown and seen very good results. Here is my thought. Why not add a second hose connection to the front side of the lower guard? I think running two hoses would help a lot. When I use my...

Another way to cut 45 degree angles on this material is with the table flat and the miter gauge set to 45 degrees. To get the miter gauge set correctly, go to Office Depot and buy a plastic 45 degree drafting triangle. This can be used to set the angle between the blade and miter gauge pretty accura...

Found it. Thanks to everyone who pointed me to the casters. That is where it was from. Reinstalled it and checked the other three. One of those was loose and ready to fall out. Thanks again for all the help.

Thanks. I'll double check the casters tomorrow. I'll have an extra hour to do that with the time change.

When you say new style casters, are those the larger one's? My casters were installed in 1999.

Checked yesterday and the screw on the miter gauge bar that holds the washer is the same size EXCEPT it is shorter than the 1/2" long screw I found on the floor. My next and last visit is inside the PP headstock.
