Sorry, I don’t check in often enough but yes I’ve done some hot pipe bending. I use it to shape tight bends in stringing for marquetry pieces. I made up a very simple bender based on google and YouTube searches and it worked great first time.

Hey Al, all you need is a chevalet, some good classes and a steady hand. :-)

All of the posts above are good but if you just want your initials to inlay somewhere ...... ask a friend to cut them for you.....

Yup, that looks familiar all right. Glad to be of some help / inspiration.
I think what I like most about it is that the planer is at about way tube height so it doesn’t have to be lifted.
