Thanks, I’m back.
We are downsizing and I’ll be selling all my big tools here at home in Canada. I am gearing up for a smaller shop and have acquired a nice 510 and a 1956 500 that will be a bandsaw/belt sander shorty.
More to come.

Re: Gallery of Restorations
Looks better than mine. I didn’t think of the CA glue until after I had tried the plastic welder. If I had it would look much better.

Re: Gallery of Restorations
I was able to fix it with CA glue, baking soda, and a plastic welder but it’s no so pretty any more.

Re: Gallery of Restorations
Very nice!
Don’t drop that cover though. Those old ones are really brittle plastic.

Re: Mark VII “Project Machine”
I was pretty happy to find that it was doable myself. Mark VII control sheaves aren’t easy to come by.

Re: Mark VII “Project Machine”
Yes, as I remember it fit right in with a little interference, enough to keep it in place.

Re: Mark VII “Project Machine”
No problems so far but I haven’t used it much. That said I see no reason to doubt that it is as good an new.

Re: Mark VII “Project Machine”
I do have holes for lubrication however. The motor shaft is original and the shortening and pressing in of the Mark V sleeve only hid half of the lubricating hole so I can still access it.
