Picked one of these very items up. I think I need my water much hotter than I had it, and wine bottles seems to be quite sturdy. The score isn't running yet. Will try water much closer to boiling next...hopefully that takes care of things.

I used the cutoffs to make a jig for fixing headstocks. I had an extra pivoting end, so I mounted that to a piece of plywood.

I ran into this issue a while back. Solved it by adding a nylon washer under the aluminum block as I recall (should go take a photo I suppose). That eliminated the slop.
