Being that it's Redwood i'd probably us it outdoors.Do you have a garden or patio? Use it to decorate either or even the yard.Put some legs on it made from small logs or limbs ,or just prop it up to show it off.you're kind of limited for indoors uses,it seems to me at least.

WHY would you cover up all the character of the machine's past life with that smooth lifeless crap MDO? The scars ans holes are all part of the history of the machine.put a nice oil rubbed finish on that old wood and enjoy the look.Then again ,I would have left the holes too.hah Just my $.02 Good lu...
