Thanks again. Forrest,Your project turned out great. i used a 2 1/2" grinder on the oak seats.i do have the old school scorps for soft wood and hand done pieces but these weren't specific to hand tools only.The patterns were just winging it .i had this picture for basic design and went with that.I did the little turnings on the arm chairs on the ...

I made thiese chairs with plenty of help from my shop smith.100+ year old white oak barn timbers.Believe it or not the SS bandsaw went through as thick as 4" oak resawing ,no problems.
