I ordered one of these "6202ZZ-5/8 (5/8" X 35mm X 11mm)" and it was too small. Something like .012 smaller than the origional. I'll have to check when I get home.

I have mainly used the SS as a lathe, after I bought quite a few accessories. Added a faceplate, live center (a must if you ask me), and a few mandrels, and I was set. I'm still eyeballing a nice chuck. DON'T slide that headstock too quickly against your tailstock to lock in a piece between centers ...

Take a look at the gilmer drive shaft, it looks like there is a chip in the threads, and a screw in place, I'm not sure, but I don't think that is origional, at least that's not what mine looks like.

I think you're right about changing the bearings, I'll get on that. And the spring assembly was a "Snap" after quite a bit of pressure, and a makeshift clamping process. Tonight I'll pull out the clutch and clean it, hopefully with that and some new bearings, and a gilmer belt, I will be set. Thanks ...

I did take that apart, and found the clutch, but didn't know that in needed to be separated and cleaned. What a pain it was to put that spring back in! Guess I'll have to take it apart again, oh well. The disks were stuck together, but after I gently separate them, what should I use to clean them ...
