Re: Drill bits for plastic?

I used a brad point bit to drill all these holes in 1/4" Plexiglas. No chip out or any other problems. Just go slow. This is mounted on a ball bearing swivel base.

Below is a link to a post from February 2014. There is a picture of my Mark V and a description of moving the actuator inboard.

Re: ER spindle height?

Re: The ducks on the lake go round and round

rcoder - Waste water treatment ponds are magnets for ducks, grebes, phalaropes, gulls, shorebirds, wading birds and even song birds, no matter where you live. We birdwatchers visit these ponds often, to see what may be feeding at the ponds.

I used Snagit at work also, but after I retired I didn't want to spend the $$, so I did some searching and found Screenpresso. There is a free version and an enhanced version for $$. You can add symbols and text to your capture. I like it.

My basement shop is 12.5' x 28', 350 sq. ft. and it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I love it!

Re: How many use stand alone machines too?

I bought my Mark V 500 new in 1980 and until 2006, I used it for all of my woodworking. But I really missed my fathers old small table saw, which I used for my 4-H project, many, many years ago. In 2006 I bought my PM64 and use it daily, but I also use my SS for sanding and drilling and with my spec...

Re: Seeking some ideas (dome light)

I make all the wood bases, for custom lamps, for our local lamp shop. I never cut or rout a groove in the base for the wire. Whether the base is round or rectangular, I always drill a 1/4" hole through the sidewall and into the bottom counterbore. I have drilled this hole in bases as big as 18&...
