Do Shopsmiths sell in other parts of the world or are they strictly domestic?

Thanks for the info. Isn't there an Shopsmith attachment to flatten stones? ;)

Sharpening stones

I have three Japanese type water stones that I believe came with the Shopsmith in the late 1980s. They have gotten a lot of use over the years and have hollows worn in the middle. Can they be reconditioned or can I find unused ones for sale anywhere (the same type)?

A couple of weeks ago I ordered sanding disk paper from Shopsmith by snail-mail and got the package three days after I put the envelope in the mailbox. Possibly a world record.

No, I definitely wouldn't want to shorten it, but if it's five feet, that would work. There must be a lot of them out there because they seem to come up for sale often enough. I just happen to like the looks of that model.

What is the overall length of the 10ER including the base? I'm just wondering if I have enough room for one.

Jack, I turned the body, head and helmet as one piece using a stick with the appropriate measurements marked out which I transfer to the blank, a pair of calipers and a drawing to measure diameters. I think it's just basic spindle turning technique, nothing fancy. Actually they aren't all identical ...

No, I'm afraid this batch won't be walking anywhere. Each one will be permanently mounted to a round base. This week I will be working on the hands, they also move in a socket. So far, it has taken an hour to make one.
