10E S/n 541

G'day all.
I have just acquired a 10E S/n 541. Twas against explicit instructions from she who must be obeyed, and breaches space limitations as I already own a goldie.
The 10E was on ebay, I couldn't help myself I hate seeing old machines go to waste! $105.00. So now I'm wrestling with the whole ...

Hi Chuck and Bob, I think I'll take your advice after watching one of the SS Sawdust session files on maintenance. For a newbie like myself these downloads are just invaluable. I'll post a couple of pics over the w/e.
All the best guys.

Loose Variable Speed Dial

G'day All,
When I first got my "Goldie" home I just couldn't wait to play. Man, that Dial right there in the middle, she just HAD to be turned. Wow how neat is this, variable speed!

Having survived my initial curiosity, I used the saw, the sander, the drill press, and finally set about the task ...

G'day Jim
OK, I'm on the right track now. When I get the info and parts, I'll post some pics again on the off chance that anyone else needs to know.

Thing is, shopsmith US don't want to know about aussies. I have to get this from the UK. Don't hold your breath on the pics :-)

Thanks guys.

Looks like I'm missing 188,189 & 190. But what does it attach to?
Cheers

How to fit Sawguard to SS Mk V

G'day all,
I recently bought a SS Mk V on ebay here in Sunny Sydney Australia. Brilliant bit of kit, love it to bits so far. It was missing an upper and lower sawguard, so I got those from ebay in the US too. Anyway, to fit the lower sawguard ... no probs. To fit the upper one, well I'm still trying ...
