I use a "Sorby" sanding disc, I got from woodcraft.
I use it with a Harbor Freight pnuematic angle grinder.
I,ve gotten great results with it.

The curved part faces down. On my regular 500, the curved part faces up.
Facing down makes it a pain to use for me.

I use LPS Force-842 Dry Moly Lubricant from http://www.chemical-supermarket.com/product.php?productid=148 in place of any graphite type lube/grease on the Shopsmith equipment.
