My New Undermount Storage Solution

Hi all, I just finished my undermount storage system and thought I would let you guys see it. The backbone is two lengths of angle iron recycled from a metal bed frame and bolted to the support legs. These had the extra benefit of stiffening the Mark V. Underneath these I bolted on a lightweight cab...

I upgraded to a power pro and love it. So much better than the orginal. Soft start, more power, quieter, easier to control. Go for it.

Beleave it or not I just found someone on ebay parting out a jointer and selling the main table for $35 with free shipping. I just purchased it and will see if its rear measurements are satisfactory and if I can mount to my jointer, if not I think I will buy another jointer to solve this issue. I wi...

Appreciate all the help. I do have an older model jointer and I inspected the top carefully looking for signs that maybe it had been previously ground down. Its hard for me to decipher what the marks in the top are telling me, except that the grinding marks look extremely old to me and I am going to...

Quadrants not bent

Guys I don't think the issue is a bent quadrant. After reading your posts I went and did a detailed visual inspection and it does not seem bent. I stuck a straight edge on it and everything seems OK. I took out my digital calipers and measured the thickness of the part of the quadrant that is causin...

The jointer mechanically works fine; my issue is with an obstruction on the table. A part of the fence quadrant is aboy 1/16 of an inch proud of the table. In the attached pict...

All, Using everyones advise I tried to align my miter slots again and still cannot get closer than 10-12 thou. I talked to Shopsmith tech support today and they verified that the current model of trunions all have 1/2 holes (no more 3/8 holes). If I send in my rear trunion to Shopsmith they will re-...

Good thoughts. I will check all the things you recommend. Also I tried calling Shopsmith today but was on hold for 20 minutes and had to hang up. I will try calling them again tomorrow and see what they have to say. Roger on securely clamping down the trunion if I decide to drill.
