Jointer Knive Sharening Jig

Hi Everyone, does anyone know where I can get the manual for the Jointer/Planer knife sharpening jig? While the method of sharpening the knives is allegedly "foolproof", history has shown me that I can still find a way to mess it up.

Saw blade alignment

As always, I appreciate the advice of everyone on this board. There were conflicting opinions as to the value of increasing the trunnion hole size, so I think I will do that as a last resort. In the meantime, I will keep monkeying with the table, and maybe I can get it right. I may just need more pr...

Saw blade alignment

Hi Guys, After receiving the dial indicator and watching the critical alignment DVD, I tried following the instructions for adjusting the trunnions on the main table. However, after following the directions as closely as possible, I can't seem to get my main table to stay within 0.025 inches from th...

Pin punch Worked

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that using a pin punch worked well to solve this problem. It was a bit tedious to get the pin back into the hole, but eventually it worked.

Thank you everyone!

P.S. What happened to cause the break? Was it dropped or did it snap off in use?[/QUOTE]

I think the handle was just fatigued. It snapped off when I was trying to lock it.

MV 520 Rip Fence Locking handle

Hi All, So, I have a Shopsmith 520, but a piece of the locking handle on the rip fence snapped clean off. I ordered a new one from Shopsmith, but I can't figure out what tool I need to remove the old one. My manual does not appear to address this problem. Does anyone know how to remove the and repla...

The "Wonder Fence" attachment is great for the router table. It allows you to adjust the fence for the size of the bit, make all kinds of great dovetail joints, use the Incra "Stops" for for measured/partial router cuts, etc. I have owned all the Incra accessories Shopsmith sell...

Shopsmith Jointer

Hi everyone, I am looking to find instructions on removing a Shopsmith jointer from a power stand to install a dust port. Unfortunately, I can't find a manual on Shopsmith's website for doing this. They only have a manual for the multi-purpose "power station," and I don't think this is the...

Thanks

Thank you both for your input. It sounds like the Incra table saw/router combo system is the way to go.

Take care,

Mike
