well, the blade is brand spanking new cause the blade that came with it, looked like it sat out in the mud for 50 years.
it could be the wood, i guess, since it is pallet wood. nails were removed beforehand. hmmm, more playing with it I guess.

well, I turned on a heater to blow air at the head stock. turned it manually to a lil bit lower speed and fired it up. it's maybe 25 in the garage, but figured maybe some heat might help. well, it spun up just fine. well, started stripping paint and labels off headstock cover. painted the inside with a rust remover/inhibiter since it was thoroughly coated in rust. tried removing it but hard to get in corners so I took the lazy way out and kryloned it. actually looks pretty cool. now I just gotta finish the outs...

got the rust removed from the tubes, but there is much pitting. I cleaned them and then put JPW on them. Slick as heck.
Now, onto stripping parts... lots of rust inside the headstock

Looks nice, the sand bag tells me you got a PU truck, I go for the pre painted white peg board, tools stand out better, a few cans of spray paint can fix it.
