Re-engaging with Community

I had to step aside for an extended time. My wife's health is getting better, and I have a lot to catch up on this year.

Some of that will be Shopsmith and I look forward to visiting with old friends and mentors, as well as making new friends.

Blessings everyone!

Re: Shopsmith Large Format Drawings, Illustrations and More

Ryan Winnicki posted on Vintage Machinery 10-25-2024 Mark VII updated Cam Control Drawing that some may really benefit from. It's Under the Magna groups of files there.

When I get time I will add it to My Google Drive Documents in the '1960's Mark VII' folder. You can download it here if you need ...

Re: Shopsmith Large Format Drawings, Illustrations and More

In answer to some who have contacted me privately, yes I am fine, full of energy and have numerous projects I am restoring.

Southbend metal lathe, Bridgeport milling machine, 3 phase power to shop.

I hope to resume my Shopsmith work this year even utilizing the machine shop gear I am working on ...

Re: I Just Purchased 10E Number 143

Nice find and a great project.

I don't post a great deal at this time and I don't login unless I have something to post, but I do view what's going on.

Your 10E is early for certain at 1143. I have 1414.

I would love to get a good photo of the front Badge with the serial number at the bottom ...

Re: German Schrank - anyone made one?

The ones I helped a buddy coming back from Wiesbaden Germany were more ornate but were solid oak. Each of the three sections weighed well over 300 lbs and we used a motorized hand truck used to move Fireproof Filing Cabinet to move them. They remained rock solid and the etched (sandblasted) glass in ...

German Schrank - anyone made one?

I’m looking to build a 3 section German Schrank similar to the photo

Anyone have plans? The door panels are multiple laters of relief similar to a complex picture frame in reverse and many have hand carved center panels even complex locking mechanisms and hidden compartments

Thanks in advance ...

For those who have sought a wellness check on me

I am fine and lurk about reading posts and seeing other people answering questions before I have time to respond.

Thank You so much for thinking of me and thank you for helping each other here in the Forums answer questions others post.

I am just busy with tasks that are taking my time. I still ...

Alternative AntiKickback solutions

I was curious about adaptations beyond JessEm and Power Feed devices that others have used on Shopsmith.

I had a set of Board Buddies as shown here mounted on my RAS. I have a set for either direction for the RAS since you can have blade in or out.

I have ordered a rall that should attach to my ...
