I cleaned every thing up including the idler pulley shaft. When I tore apart the motor I pulled out enough saw dust to fill a 44 oz. soda cup. Could not beleive it. I never checked that when I purchased it 10 years ago. It runs a lot cooler now. HUH?! Amagine that! ha. Thanks to all for the help.

Thanks again fellas. I checked the motor and decided to change the front bearing...could feel the ball bearings and didn't like it. Then I purchased that new Irwin Marples thin kerf 24-T. WHAM! Thanks guys, I havn't put much thought into the blade...will purchase a new one. I've been using 10" but noticed the manual references 9"...odd duck for sure. I'll see if I can find one. No pinching and align the fence correctly, and running carbide combo. I will invest in a rip blade to see if that ...

Thanks for the reply. Yes to all and no to the oil on the face of the sheaves. I forgot to mention it is a 1962 (Brownie). I've had it for 10 years.
