Thanks for the info. Definitely a confusion point. Mine is the Power Pro Mark 7. Have wanted a Shop smith for about 30 years. Glad I finally got one. Loving it!

I've seen it as Mark 7 (such as in the forum header) and Mark VII. I'm assuming the same machine. Mine is the quiet one ;)

On those school locks, if you held just the right amount of down pressure on the lock and had sensitive fingers, you could feel the lock engage as the correct number was passed. Worked most of the time - or so I hear ;)
