Also, what is the difference between the two styles of scroll saws? I see the new one is the greenish/blue looking one. And I have the one with the black "arm" the is like a bent tube...

I just got my free standing shopsmith scroll saw last week, and I have had trouble with understanding how to install the blades. I have the old original style blade locks that require the allen wrenches. Is the correct method for installation to install the blade and lock down the screws on both the ...

Thank you everyone for the replys. It sounds like I definitely need to get one. I have hears that the Kreg 5 is made of cheaper plastic parts than the 4 series....is this true? I noticed the 4 is about 10-15 dollars more...

KREG Jig System - Pocket Holes

Good Morning Everyone!

I am thinking about getting the Kreg Jig system, and wondering if anyone has one at home and what they think of it. I think it would be great for simple cabinet making for projects where master jointery are not as important.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your feedback! The new blade, I purchased a Diablo for a quick fix, and slowing down the speed did wonders! Cut through like butter! I am in a crunch for time finishing up a wedding gift. Any good reviews on this blade over a forrester?

Also, any suggestions on how to maintain ...

Thank you for your response, I will give that a try, I was speeding up, very well could be my problem....along with an old blade. I typically run a 10inch blade, anyone see a problem with that blade size?

your location will come into play pertaining to price.I was able to find a 510 with bandsaw, jointer. belt sander,dust collector,scroll saw,speed reducer, and usual accs. for under $1500 here in WNY. No power stands but overall comparable setup.

Thank you Dennis, are there different pulleys that you need to buy for each power stand for the specific accessory you want? Or is each power stand come with all the options and you just need to put the correct configuration?
