I have the Shopsmith over arm router. I really like being able to use the Shopsmith table and fence adjustments to set up the cuts. It is terrific to use in a horizontal set up as well, similar to horizontal boring.

Even going for 200 cfm that still comes out to over 83 mph velocity per hose. That is not what I observe.

I bought the Shopsmith version this past year. I don’t regret one cent of it. It is a beast, a machined beauty. One downside, it will not work on all situations, so don’t get rid of the SS standard one. You will still need it with the SS mortiser.
