Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
Vintage Mark VII found at an estate sale It has been a long time since I have been on this site so I am not sure if I am doing this correctly. A friend of mine in Des Moines, IA alerted me of this. As much as I would like to take on another restoration project I don't think it would go over real wel...

Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector
I just went back to the sale email and clicked the "buy now" tab and this is what came up. https://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/specials/7DV713 I still had this same page up on my computer from the time of the sale and the prices on both the upgrade and the DC-6000 are listed as $279 and $7...

Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector
That link is a good find. 100% certain it was NOT up at the time of the introduction sale. I am sure someone on this forum would have found it. I searched by the upgrade part number 557092 and other descriptive searches and found nothing that gave that much information. At the time I did find a cata...

Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector
Here is what I sent, and Shopsmith's response, and then again another reclarification question. I still don't see a definitive answer on the DC3300 upgrade kit to make it a DC6000. To Shopsmith 6/29 To clarify, Does the upgrade to my old DC3300 make it just like the new DC6000?. Does the upgrade kit...

Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector
That is the way I am looking at it. I would like it to be a DC-6000 after upgrading. Unfortunately the lack of clarity has pushed my purchase past the special offer they had.

I guess my questions were not clear enough. I sent an email response this morning for more clarification. I will post when I hear something back.

Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector
To add to everyone's ponderings on this subject. I emailed Shopsmith on Friday: Question: I am looking at purchasing the dc6000 upgrade. Will it make my old dc3300 the same as the new dc6000? I would like to know how changing to the bigger motor provides increased cfm? If rpm and the impeller stay t...

Re: Opening up the Power Pro head
Just checked the warranty on the website and Powerpro has 5 year parts and labor and standard headstock has 2 year parts and labor. If they can't provide service for Powerpro I am not interested anymore. Was thinking of taking the plunge.
