Shopsmith question

Why is it that the Shopsmith sells better in different regions. I have friends in New York and Pennsylvania and they can sell and buy Shopsmith for 1500-3000 all day. In Oregon its hard to get $500 for a fully equipped Shopsmith. Does anyone know why the value of a Shopsmith fluctuates so much in th...

Re: just bought a Mark 7

When I first posted this I was so busy with my mark VII I forgot to get back on here. Yes!! It was a steal. Its amazing, I may even turn myself in to the local PD. They will probably look at me strange at first but when the captain, who is a woodworker finds out why, he'll say "arrest that fell...

Re: help on an estimated value of a shopsmith PLEASE

Thank you, I'll let everyone know what I do and what I actually will get. I'm in Beaverton Or and they don't have a lot of Shopsmiths in the area.

Re: help on an estimated value of a shopsmith PLEASE

I know that its spendy straight from shopsmith. I actually think its the 510 not the 520. But it still looks like new. I'm worried more if I buy it and then decide I don't like it, will be had to sell for the same price?? Theyre asking $850

Re: help on an estimated value of a shopsmith PLEASE

It has all the sanding disks and sand paper, lathe bits and tail stock, has shaper and the bits. It also has I believe a mortise and tenon apparatus. I think it even has a belt sander. Do you think $850 is a good deal?

help on an estimated value of a shopsmith PLEASE

Just curious if anybody out there could give me an idea of what a shopsmith 520 with band saw all the other parts, pretty much fully loaded and dust collection system is worth. Its in excellent condition and I'm suppose to buy it tomorrow. If anyone could give me a basic price estimate I'd appreciat...

PLEASE READ....OK so I just did it, I just bought a mark 7 and with it I got the circular sander, the band saw, the little sander, the lathe, the table saw, the router and shaper. Its brand new never used and I got it for $1800. The only problem is, I'm missing small parts. It looks amazing and I've...
