Re: Mk VII inventory, investigation, and tests

I know the 33B jacobs is a standard and in past years you could get a rebuild kit which also fit the 3326

Re: 3.5HP Router or Spindle Purchase???

At what point does a shaper make sense? The price of large routers, big tables and fences easily get into the shaper price range. A shaper will run all day and an induction motor is much quieter. Plus a big cast iron table.
Just a devil's advocate question.

Re: identifying mystery parts?

I have an arbor that came with a 10ER and it had 2 set screws. Now perhaps there was an after market supplier?

Re: de sta co look-a-likes?

RLKeeney I tend to use threaded inserts in fixtures. and move the clamps from fixture to fixture. If the hole patterns aren't consistent It means you can't interchange them

Re: My Emergency Power Cutoff Setup

I've had these on my 10ERs and my mark VII for several years. Mine are mounted directly to the machine. and work like a charm. And I don't have to worry about restarts after power restoration. And an easy emergency stop buttom.

Re: Which tool do you fear the most?

I worked at a place that had a 7 1/2 HP Dewalt radial arm saw. RS of any kind make me uncomfortable. But that monster scared me. I think it was just because it was big (if i remember right a 22" blade)

Re: Novice or Pro

I've used the one From Grizzly an it works well with my 10ER with a 3/4 HP motor.
