Thanks. A new quill assembly was already looking like my only choice. As easy as the shaft is to replace, it would be nice if that was an option. We shouldn't have to replace the quill for a bent shaft. That's a lot of good parts that are unusable, just because the shaft inside is damaged.

There were a couple of responses in this thread about replacing the quill (spindle) shaft. I, too, have a double bearing quill with a bent spindle shaft, but haven't been able to find just the shaft. The shaft is shown as a separate item on the parts breakdown, but doesn't appear to be an item for ...

I love my Nova G3. I also bought a 1"x 8TPI adapter to use on my old Delta/Rockwell Gap bed lathe. I'm a little late on this reply, you may already have yours. Know you will enjoy.
