Re: Cateract Surgery
Glad the surgery went well and everything turned out great. I agree with that the bright headlights can be a problem. Light sensitivity can be a problem for me at times. I use night driver lenses and my husband has a pair of yellow tinted glasses for use at night. They help a lot with cutting down t...

Re: Mystery Attachments …. again!
Looking at all the pieces while thinking about a metal lathe, could it be a home made controllable carriage or a lathe duplicator for a SS? Does the hinged piece fit around a way tube? It could then be used to slide along the tube. The other pieces may be combined for different operations and materi...

Re: Baking center
Finally I was able to get back to the baking center. I had to make a birthday present for my daughter and get some other things done around the house. 20240119_082744.jpg I have got one of the doors made and installed. I put a coat of shellac on it but will wait until the weather warms up before put...

Re: Self-study guide as homeschool shop class curriculum?
The self study course does a good job of introducing someone to woodworking and how to set up a SS. I started my kids in the garage when they were a little younger than your 7 year old. I had a hard time finding safety glasses and hearing protection for them due to their size for the power equipment...

Re: Glue-joining of Cutoff Pieces for Lumber Recovery
I am not sure what you are planning to build but if gluing up a panel, then staggering the joints may also help. Check out how this youtuber builds a panel for his projects starting just after a minute into the video. Not sure how much strength the panels have but he builds some beautiful pieces tha...

Re: WHERE Y'ALL AT???
I think it is that everyone is busy. Either winterizing or in the shop getting presents finished up.
