Re: OK, next dumb question .......
Thanks for the response - I was kind of wondering the same, and thought maybe just the 520 upgrade and casters made the most sense in terms of added stability & mobility. I'd be interested to hear what you say after using the PP, and especially after using it in shaper mode (my other reason for ...

Re: 'CONTRARIAN' QUESTION(S)
I had kickback years ago ripping a long board on a bench top saw - it had a crappy safety guard that I left off. I knew when I was making the cut that I was pushing it, so stayed to the side - cost me a patio door, but I was okay. Lesson learned. With the SS, I'd say I always use the upper guard, wi...

Re: OK, next dumb question .......
I've been thinking of making the same upgrade in the spring Paul - let me know how it works out for you, and if you think it was worth the money and effort.

Re: Resawing on a Shopsmith Band Saw
Thanks guys, but I'm not following you - are you suggesting aligning the blade out of square to match/be parallel to the fence?? Mine is a newer bandsaw with aluminum table, and cool blocks - the upper blade guard seems to be operating properly, and yes I saw the plastic adjustment screw. Maybe I co...

Re: Resawing on a Shopsmith Band Saw
Hey guys. I know this an old thread, but I just ran into the same problem as Dusty - table is square to blade, but SS fence is not square to the table. There does not seem to be an adjustment on the fence for this - did anyone figure out how to correct this??

Re: Trying to Understand
Is it possible there is a stocking issue? Perhaps some items were on hand, and others had to be retrieved from an off-site warehouse.

Re: Incra 5000 Sled
Thanks Al. I'm trying to decide which makes the most sense for me, and to define the limitations on both, so I can hopefully avoid buying both :) For my purposes at this time, I rarely have the need to cut large panels at anything but square, so I struggle with the additional cost of the big sled. M...

Re: Mark V Dust Collection - Is There a Better Way??
Nice modification! Have you ever been concerned that the metal might flex back towards the blade, or is the gauge rigid enough to keep if from wobbling?

Re: Incra 5000 Sled
Hi, I know this is an older thread, but just wondering what advantages this might have over making a shop built panel sled, and buying the Miterset for angled work? The price of a Miterset would be led than half the cost of an Incra Miter and sled.
