I actually have a 220v outlet accessible, a nice option I had forgotten about for Powerpro.
Going to call Shopsmith tomorrow and see what the lead time is in getting a Powerpro headstock to met.

Re: Powerpro as shaper for beaded face frames and rabbets
Thanks for the great feedback sounds like it will do the trick for me. I'll definitely upgrade to a 520 fence setup at some point but for the time being I'll actually be shaping from above the table in drill press mode so better tables won't really factor in. I have multiple router tables for the st...

Re: Powerpro as shaper for beaded face frames and rabbets
Thanks for the input, I haven't pulled the trigger on the Powerpro yet. I don't need it if all I use the station for is a drill press but if I can do some rudimentary shaping work then it will earn its keep. Majority of the cuts for my new place will be in poplar and pine so pretty easy stuff to wor...

Powerpro as shaper for beaded face frames and rabbets
Can the powerpro one pass shape a beaded edge for a beaded face frame or do a 1/4' by 1/4' rabbet or dado in one pass? Considering devoting one of my Shopsmith bases to a dedicated drill press/shaper station and upgrading one of my shot headstocks to a PowerPro to power it for a few large projects c...

Re: New (to me) Incra system
Paul, I'm considering the Incra setup. One annoyance I have on my mark v right now is constantly setting the extension tables heights when adjusting the height of my main saw table. Is the Incra rail rigid enough that when raising and lowering the main table that my extensions will move with it and ...

Re: And Another Successful Bookmatch from the SS Bandsaw
Very impressive. My bandsaw cuts fairly straight to the fence when resawimg but I have a very uneven/chattery surface on the cut. My bandsaw seems to vibrate quite a bit, I am reasonably well aligned to the shopsmith, cut on A or B setting , have tried a few different blades. Tension the blades well...

Attaching router to mark v 500 saw table
I am trying to mount a router to the underside of an extra mark v saw table. It doesnt look like there are many good places to drill and tap bolts too, I did this procedure on my 10er saw table and have been having problems with it loosening. Probably need to use some threadlock when I remount it. S...

Cool project, those look like big chips.
Are you connecting the vac to the tablesaw? planer?
I'm trying to decide on a shopvac setup at the moment.

Re: Another Dust Collection Quandary For the Experts
I have been thinking of getting a ct26 for use in my temp, shop. I am rebuilding the main barn and currently using the 16x16 addition as a temporary shop so no room for a dust collector and I have a big one for the main shop. Will I see a noticeable difference in suction quality between it and a reg...

They are looking great, I've done a lot of yacht carpentry and cabinets and your stuff looks better than a lot of the 'pro' work I come across.
I'm right up the Bay in Chesapeake Beach, hope to see you cruising by soon.
