Figured it out. The left handle was loose. Tightened it up which pulled the square nuts inside. Jointer is good. Universal motor? You did well!!!! The vac took it over the top, jointers are a dime a dozen around here. Johnsons paste wax. I will let others tell you oil, but I use 20w machine oil. Cant remember the name, big box stores carry it and I get the one with the 6"tube extender. I saw one guy on YouTube use 3 in 1...

Some plastic cylinder with a spring on one end. Says accessory and headstock with arrows That would be the drive coupler for your spt's (jointer, bandsaw, etc). Thanks Bruce! Just watched a YouTube video and the guy had it coupled to a band saw. The jointer is still like an inch above the headstock...
