I picture a stand with a sliding table that would straddle the the SS motor and but then fold up for easy storage. I'm a dreamer I guess...

Table saw enlargement?

Hi, I'm bouncing some ideas around in my head about creating something to fit over the small table saw table so as to have a safer and more efficient work top. Anyone else doing this? Thanks

Re: Casters

So if anyone might care. I picked up a caster from the local hardware store. $6
Cut the pin on the Shopsmith caster, used the new bolt and lock nut from the new caster. Few minutes and a few dollars, done. Thinking of opening a caster repair shop now. See ya soon

Re: Casters

Only the plastic wheel is broken, the metal workings are just fine. I am too. Great info and thanks, it's nice to receive help when one reaches out for it. I'll figure this out and I'll let you know how it comes together. Like the ford barn, good guys here.

Thanks Ed, I try to do things right. however I'm not rich or famous so i must have screwed up somewhere. I wonder, would this be true to all band saws or just the Shopsmith brand?
