Re: 10ER Lathe dust collection and leather skirt

Got everything cut and it came out really clean, gorilla taped edges till rubber gas line comes in. Used a nibbles to cut out bottom and a Kett saw for horizontal cuts. Both worked really well with right set up. Still need to work out mounting and dust port locations.

Patience is very much a learning process for me but I agree with you.

They use the same material for 4" Dia. as they do all the way up to 24" Dia. and bigger. They use the same picture as well so getting a refund. I'm leaning towards horse trough for next attempt.

I know, as was I. Sometimes fixing things that aren’t broken is a hobby of mine.

And as originally intended.
LOL, I truly appreciate things as they are originally intended… but if I picked up a deuce coupe in bad shape I’m afraid it would end up as a rat rod. :-)

Erik- Very nice quality build. Now I’m thinking of doing suction port high and low vs. side by side. The plexiglass is also nice.

Re: 10ER Lathe dust collection and leather skirt

RFGuy- it looks cool and he had some sort of Shopbot, wish I had one, to do the cutouts which really makes it pretty dialed in. I like the ends and may consider that. Thanks for the link, may try that also on my VII, :-)
