Re: Re-outfitting a 510 SS to table saw mode

I bought the set of 3 Shopsmith brand blades (Rip, Combo and Crosscut) and the blades are oustanding and priced competitively with other brands of similar quality. The picture is wrong but the link below is to the Rip blade and you woudln't need a different arbor for it. https://www.shopsmith.com/pr...

Re: 520 upgrade: lock knob with stud

Neither of my 520 upgrades came with multiple rivnuts on the rails. Except for the main table which has two per rail, there is 1 rivnut centered in each rail for the floating tables. I received 2 extra screw knobs, with each kit and 3 extra springs with one of the kits. My rivnuts were not installed...

Re: Pleasant surprise included with my last order

Back in the 80's when I installed networks for a living, one our suppliers would throw a bag of Skittles, M&M's, or other candy in each box of jacks, faceplates or panels. I had to implement a rule that the tech's could only eat it when they installed the last item in the box at a customer's sit...

Re: Microsoft GRRRRRRRRRRR

One solution is to get a Mac and then deal with a bunch of other random weird crap during updates instead of the random weird crap you've become accustomed to.

Re: Drawer box question

That's a gorgeous cabinet, Twistol! What wood and finish did you use for the drawer faces? I also love your dovetailed drawer boxes, but I just don't want to spend the time on that for mere shop furniture. Thank you, the drawer fronts are single poplar boards that span three drawers horizontally ea...

Re: Drawer box question

I've seen too many drawers come apart in my lifetime and now I build all of my drawers (over 200 to date) the same way regardless of size or intended use. 5/8" (15mm) poplar sides with 1/2" (12mm) bottoms. How I intend a drawer to be used when I build it doesn't necessarily stand the test ...
