My shop is nearly empty, my garage is a train wreck, and I am sore all over from moving all this stuff. My 10 ER is in its happy new home.

Re: Losing shop space and a 3 SS Dilemma
I laid out the living space where my shop is, and figured out what will fit in the garage. I'll be selling one of my 520's and keeping the other in the shop. I haven't figured out how to fit my cast iron saw in the new shop space so it may end up getting sold as well.

Losing shop space and a 3 SS Dilemma
I'm likely going to lose my current shop space to a family member who is ill and will be moving into the space. My shop will be moving to part of a 2 car garage.
I'll be losing the following:
3HP DC since I can't power it in the garage anyway
my primary router table
one of my two workbenches ...

Re: Triton Tools Bankrupt and out of business
This is unfortunate and keeps happening to the companies that build tools you don't need to replace.
I have a 2.25HP Triton router that I've had mounted in my router table for 20+ years and it has performed flawlessly the entire time. I'm adding a router table to my table saw so I can use my Incra ...

Re: Re-outfitting a 510 SS to table saw mode
I bought the set of 3 Shopsmith brand blades (Rip, Combo and Crosscut) and the blades are oustanding and priced competitively with other brands of similar quality.
The picture is wrong but the link below is to the Rip blade and you woudln't need a different arbor for it.

Re: 520 upgrade: lock knob with stud
Neither of my 520 upgrades came with multiple rivnuts on the rails. Except for the main table which has two per rail, there is 1 rivnut centered in each rail for the floating tables.
I received 2 extra screw knobs, with each kit and 3 extra springs with one of the kits. My rivnuts were not ...

Re: Pleasant surprise included with my last order
Back in the 80's when I installed networks for a living, one our suppliers would throw a bag of Skittles, M&M's, or other candy in each box of jacks, faceplates or panels. I had to implement a rule that the tech's could only eat it when they installed the last item in the box at a customer's site ...

Re: question about planers
Woodcraft has a very good description of how a jointer works and how it can be used to straighten a board , flatten it or square an edge. you can see it at the link below.

Re: Microsoft GRRRRRRRRRRR
One solution is to get a Mac and then deal with a bunch of other random weird crap during updates instead of the random weird crap you've become accustomed to.
