Re: MiLL and WWP
The first day of volunteering was awesome. The kids are great and want to be there. What a breath of fresh air. The whole place has a family atmosphere. Of course I've jumped into the middle of a school year so I have catching up to do but shouldn't be too hard. The kids are making little cabinets w...

Re: RE: Re: VA ID Card
I've been trying since November to get mine and have gotten bounced from one place to another. Currently I have been sent to DEERS since they did not verify my service and from there I have been sent to IRIS who have now told me they will be back in touch with me in five business days but not to ex...

Re: RE: Re: Lathe Center stuck on Morse Taper shaft
Shalom I assume this is what you have? See picture There is a flat milled on the taper with two shoulders You might have to remove the set screw completely to cleat the shoulder Also, sorry for the confusion Hmmmm! Maybe we be barking up the wrong tree! Happens when descriptors are fuzzy. That MT2 ...

Re: RE: Re: Scroll Saw blade mounting fixture replaced by upgrade?
FWIW, the blade mounting 'fixture' is a bit of a bachelor item. Only bachelors have the time to devote to using it. Sheesh, what does this mean and how does it help? Just to put some facts into the discussion in case someone comes along and has the same question: Older scroll saws have an archaic b...

Re: RE: Shopsmith abrasives at Lowes
Maybe this is already a common sight for some of you, but I was surprised to see that familiar logo on a whole section of sanding materials — disks, belts, and flap wheels — at my local Lowe’s yesterday. All were marked ‘Made in USA’, or ‘Assembled in USA, Made in South Korea’. Prices were reasonab...

Re: MiLL and WWP
One miter saw station had a computer attached to a fence stop. You could type in any fraction, 54-78/79" and the fence stop would move to position and be accurate within .003 that was cool.

Re: RE: Re: MiLL and WWP
Looks like a worthwhile project. I also like the brand name on the table saws. Good choice!! I am of the opinion that people should be trained in the proper use of machinery that has the potential to take their fingers off. The woodworking club that I belong to bought a Sawstop after a member lost ...

MiLL and WWP
Tonight the Wounded Warrior Project and Manufacturing Industry Learning Labs National Training Center held an event for the veterans. There was a tour of their multi-million dollar facility. Amazing. Red Rocks Community College(Denver) has an AAS program for woodworking and they are teaming up with ...

Re: I am out of patience!
I hear your frustration. I recently ordered a riving knife. It was available. I paid the $13.50 to get it quicker. It took 13 days for me to get it. I continuously checked the status of the order and a week after I placed my order riving knives were on back order. I talked with customer service to g...
