Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping I could do the conversion to the double tilt with no head stock at all.

Converting my 510

I bought the double tilt base upgrade along with the new Power Pro Headstock. Am I thinking correctly that I should pull my old head stock then do the base upgrade and then install the new Power Pro? It seems like it would be easier than tipping my machine over to do the double tilt.

Am I missing ...

Just be careful who you buy from and how you pay. There have been some horrible stories to be told about people and fraud with regard to Shopsmith products. Most are legit but you just never know.

A bronze member is what you get for a label on your first post. I am not sure what criteria they are using to graduate to silver, gold, etc. But I would imagine some of the regular contributors are soon to find out.

Also, I would highly recommend going to an Academy. I do not know where you live ...
