Thanks for the reply, Dick. Yes, I tried that. The problem is when I move the carriage, it frees the arbor, but the blade then doesn't clear the dado table insert. I don't want to run the machine without the insert.

Dado arbor interference on Mark 7
I am getting interference from my dado arbor on my new Mark 7. I removed the insert and adjusted the headstock to get the arbor above the table support, before replacing the insert. But, not I have a constraint on the height of the dado blade before interference occurs. Anyone experienced this?

Does the Incra crosscut sled accommodate dado blades? I need to cut rabbets on long cabinet pieces and need a crosscut solution that will work with a dado blade.
