Ahh, that makes sense! Not a ham radio guy, but have friends that used to love that.

If the quill moves freely when not drilling/boring, the likely culprit is a dull drill bit or exceptionally hard wood. If the quill is binding even when you just try to advance it without drilling/boring then that suggests to me it is time to remove and inspect the quill to make sure there are no ...

Quill difficult to advance

Hello all!

I have a PowerPro, works well, except the quill is very difficulty to extend such as during drilling or boring operations. Quill is lubricated, retaining set screw on top is loose/not binding. Hold-downs are unscrewed so not binding.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Do I need to replace the ...

JPG, perfect diagnosis and treatment. Works much better now after loosening up the tension and a fit of Johnson's wax on the rails! Thanks!

Just picked up a used Mark 7. Works great, except I noticed yesterday the display appeared to be failing. Parts of it work, parts of it don't. Not sure where to start with this:

I bet you are right. I tried to take the screws out, 3 came out fine, 2 are stuck in there like me on mashed potatoes and gravy. I soaked them and will try to back them out later. Thanks!

Ed, how did you resize it on the iPhone? did you use the crop function in the edit function?
