Ok, I think I can trust my eyes to get it centered. I just wanted to make sure that there were not major safety issues that I wasn't aware of.

I realize this might be a foolish question, but why can't the 5/8" dado arbor be used for a regular blade?

The arbor will allow more then 3/4" when set up like this: IMG_3453sc.jpg Note the large spacer is not needed or used in this case. The arrangement from left to right is the nut, the keyed washer(you MUST have this in place), one of the thinner washers with the indented part facing the blade, ...

I'm fairly new to wood working and recently became a SS owner. I just received the 5/8 dado arbor and attempted to install an 8" Irwin dado set. However, I was not able to fit all of the spacers and chippers on the arbor. I was only able to get up to 1/2" thick. Is this a normal issue or ...
