your imperial blades will still work on metric materials ya just have to be a bit creative . if you leave a bit of a shoulder on the tenon end {1/16 or so on each side} ,, you can still get a tight fit and you can hide the glue joint, it doesn't take that long to do with a router table . jmo

+1 They may not be for every one . multiple dovetail gages in some of the layout tools would be a advantage for some .

JMO,, everyone has their own opinions about finishing, I finish gunstocks , head boards , puzzles for kids , picture frames etc , my best looking finishes seem to come after using 220 grit than going to 1000 grit wet sand paper wet with tong oils / linseed oils etc ,all the way up tp 3000 grit it is...
