Interesting . it just didnt look like the old belt to me . the old one is definitely a v belt .

The flat belt has a part #908-241-2885 interesting enough the new Gilmer belt has the same number . the old belt still has the mothership name and number. I think I will order v belt like the OEM belt .

, yes . it looks flat to me . the old one was a v belt or worn down to look like it . after looking at the pictures it may be a A model casting , it has the high speed lock on the switch.

I asked the question about paint match colors in some on the Q&A you tube videos with Andrew.
He was busy at the time and had bigger issues bringing this company back to life.
I hope he would consider the paint colors.
The Gray and Green and Gold would be a big seller if he would consider ...

I have managed to get the belts off there is some damage to the bearings so I am have ordered a set , as far as the numbers go I havent seen any any where . I was looking at the numbers on SS page and see where between 1962 there isnt any number data . it has a very old looking franklin motor .

Im replacing the belts on the older mkv that has a gilmer belt , I ordered a set of belts and they came with a flat belt and a gilmer belt , the old belt has a Shopsmith name and part number but looks like a v belt ,before I continue on should this be a v belt ? thanks
