Re: Supernova2 chuck?

Thanks, Ron. I just ended up getting another G3. G3 is a fine chuck as well.

Supernova2 chuck?

Who uses a Supernova2 chuck on Shopsmith? I have always used a G3; but, I was wondering if the Sueprnova2 was too heavy for the Shopsmith.

Re: christmas bowl

Excellent. I have yet to try a segmented turning. Looks tedious making all the pieces fit together nicely.

Re: woodturning

Very nice. I also have a Wolverine System, and it certainly makes sharpening much easier. Oh, and I also use it with a slow speed grinder with a cbn wheel on one side and an white wheel on the other.

Re: Nova G3 Chuck

The height of the chuck body only is about 1 3/4" if you don't measure the jaw mounts or the jaws or the spindle adapter. The diameter is about 3.5".

The only advantage is a smaller footprint, if that is what you need.

Re: Power Station

A Power Station is very nice to have. I had my bandsaw set up on it for some time. I now have my strip sander on the Power Station. I think that mine is 3/4 hp. Sorry; I have no input as to price.
